Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026.
The Five Dock Dockers Junior Rugby League Football Club("the club", "we") collects personal information so we can run a safe, well-organised junior footy season. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Player details: child name, nickname, date of birth, school, age group, medical notes, emergency contact.
- Parent/guardian details: name, email, phone, suburb. Optional fields like favourite team are clearly marked optional.
- Compliance: for coaches/managers/committee, we record WWCC numbers and expiry dates.
- Match-day data: attendance per fixture, scores, injuries.
- Photos: match-day and team photos. Use is governed by the photo consent toggle on each child's record.
- Mailing list: if you tick the box on registration, we add you to club newsletters with a one-click unsubscribe.
How we use it
- Running the season — team allocation, fixtures, parent communications.
- Compliance reporting to NRL and Working with Children regulators.
- Promoting the club via newsletters, social media, and the website (only with appropriate consent).
Photo consent
During registration you choose whether your child can appear in club photos used publicly (website, Instagram, Facebook). The default is opt-in but it is your call. You can change this any time by emailing us — the toggle lives on each child's record at /admin/kids (admin) or by request.
Who we share with
- NRL / PlayNRL: we link parents to PlayNRL to register officially. PlayNRL has its own privacy policy.
- Service providers: Supabase (Sydney region — database/auth), Resend (transactional email), Netlify (web hosting), Stripe (donations only).
- Coaches & managers see their own team's roster and emergency contacts only.
- We do not sell your information to third parties.
Storage & security
Data is stored in Supabase (AWS Sydney). Access is controlled via role-based permissions (see user_profiles.role). Only Super Admins can change roles, and every role change is logged in role_audit_log.
Your rights
You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing the club. Deletion may not extend to compliance records the club is legally required to keep.
Contact
Email the committee via the get in touch form. For complaints, contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
